Can you reload a gift card after sending it?
Sometimes, but only when the merchant and exact card type allow it. Coingifto cannot add money to a delivered card or manage automatic reload. You may need to reload with the brand or buy a separate new gift.

The recipient may control the card or account
A merchant reload can require the physical card, the recipient’s merchant account or a payment method linked to that account. Do not ask the recipient for account credentials, and do not assume you can change a balance after the code has been redeemed.
Starbucks automatic reload is a Starbucks account feature. It is not a recurring payment feature of Coingifto and does not mean a third-party seller can top up the delivered card.

Keep one card and increase its balance
Use this route only when the merchant recognises the exact card type as reloadable and the cardholder is comfortable using the merchant’s own channel.

Create a separate balance
Buying a second card may be simpler when the first cannot be reloaded. The recipient then needs to track two codes and check whether the merchant lets them combine those balances.

Ask three format questions
Is the existing item physical, digital or store credit?
The answer can change reload eligibility even within one merchant programme.
Has it already been redeemed to an account?
If yes, the merchant account may now control the balance. Follow the merchant’s account guidance rather than treating the original email as a reload tool.
Would a new card be easier?
Choose a new card when reload is unavailable, but first check whether the recipient can combine or separately use the balances.
